I used Oomoo 30 to form the mold and waited for it to dry. Following, having the silicon mold I wanted to use Plaster of Paris. The process is documented in the video below.
I did 3 experiments for this casting and molding assignment.
As a first step, I printed a 3D structure that turned out to be complicated to form a mold around and then cast. The shape was supposed to be a replica of what the French chocolatiers do with chocolate decoration. Forming a mold on a 3D printer and based on that pouring chocolate in, makes the outcome easier to replicate.
As a second experiment, I found this sketch of digital hearts and 3D printed it. This shape is positive.
