Watering at night is not the best for your plants' leaves or overall health. ... After a nighttime soak, leaves can stay wet for a pretty long time since they don't have the day's sun to dry them off. Because of this, damp leaves become extra vulnerable to fungal development.

This is why I created a sensor that indicates when daylight is good enough to moist your plant.

For this sewing project, I upcycled a canvas aroma bag, that's filled with aqua beads, used to moist your plant during the daylight.

I cut the bag's square edges and made them oval shaped to hold different levels of water and how I decide to lay the bag on the soil base of my plant. I sewed the bag's edges using "Brother" sewing machine.

As for the light sensor, I added a Microbit BBC V2 and hand sewed it onto the bag's top. I programmed it to detect light, at a certain threshold, and based on that it will alert me when the light is beyond that threshold for me to remove my moistening bag off the plant.
